Operator error happens. We don’t recommend continuing to use a cracked crystal as the cracked surface can be sharp and scratch your skin. We recommend replacing it and starting a new with a smooth surface. If it cracks off the base after dropping it, we also recommend replacing it, but ultimately, you do you. Forewarned is forearmed.

Well, kids are curious and unpredictable in that curiosity. We wouldn’t want them to drop and break the crystal (which can happen when dropped), or lick it (‘cause that wouldn’t taste good), or take it and stow it away with their treasures since it looks kinda cool (but then you’d start smelling again).
